There was snow yesterday! It’s really winter and that’s why we’ve listed some useful tips for the pregnant women among us.

How to deal the winter during your pregnancy:

❄️ Drink plenty in winter too! You would think you should drink more in the summer because you dry out faster because of the hot weather, but the cold wind is also very dry.

❄️ Take enough vitamins and eat healthy. Vitamin D in particular is very important in winter. In winter, you usually go outside less and you need this vitamin to absorb calcium, for firm bones.

❄️ Moisturise! The cold, dry air in winter can cause dryness and irritation of the skin, especially during pregnancy when the skin is more sensitive. Keeping your skin hydrated with gentle, pregnancy-safe moisturizers can help with this.

❄️ Enjoy! Being pregnant in the winter is also very special. So many endless ideas for holiday-themed pregnancy announcements, gender reveals and pregnancy photos. This is also a good time to make your Christmas wish list of baby must-haves!

Have you seen the weather forecast for this week yet? We have some warm days ahead of us!

You may have already noticed that when you are pregnant, you may suffer a little more from the heat. We have some tips for our pregnant women to get through these hot days! 👇🏻

🌞 Drink enough!

Make sure you drink at least 2L of fluid, on hot days this can be even more.

🌞 Cool down!

Find the air conditioning or sit with your feet in a cold water bath. Of course you can also go swimming!

🌞 Sunscreen!

Put on sunscreen when you go out in the sun. If you are pregnant you have a chance of a pregnancy mask. Of course, it is even better to look out for some shadow.

🌞Feet up!

In pregnancy you have a higher chance of more fluid in the ankles and feet. Make sure your feet are up and make a delicious salad with celery, watercress or citrus fruit (this helps to get rid of the fluid)

🌞 Enjoy!

Relax and take it easy. Take an extra power nap or read your favorite book.
