My name is Anne van Otten, I am married and mother of two sons Niek and Tijn. Healthcare has always attracted me, but when I spent a day in a midwifery practice during my high school years, I knew for sure; i want to do this! Funny thing is that the shadow day was in this practice! In 2013 I graduated as a midwife and for the past 10 years I have worked with great pleasure in a practice in Oss. Obstetrics is a great profession, where every day is different and the variety makes it so much fun. Every client and every situation is different. I think the most special thing about our profession is the privilege we have to guide expectant parents from the first ultrasound to the birth of a new miracle!

Hi! My name is Anne van Otten and from March 1 I will be working at @midwiferypracticeeindhoven

Healthcare has always attracted me, but when I spent a day in a midwifery practice during my high school years, I knew for sure; I want to be a midwife! Funny fact: that day was at @midwiferypracticeeindhoven

In 2013 I graduated as a midwife and for the past 10 years I have enjoyed working in a practice in Oss. Along came the opportunity to work closer to home and that is why I start working at this practice.

Midwifery is a great profession where every day is different. I think the most special thing about our profession is the privilege we have to guide expectant parents from the first ultrasound to the birth of a new miracle!

I am married and I have 2 sons: Niek and Tijn.
I look forward to working in this practice and getting to know you!

Having a child isn’t only fun; it turns your life upside down. This may be accompanied by negative feelings. That is normal.

But it can happen, both with fathers and mothers, that these negative feelings do not pass. That you remain gloomy and lethargic, that you are not happy with your child, that you are over-anxious or that you feel unsuitable for parenthood, that you cry a lot, that you do not sleep well and that you are easily irritated. In that case, there may be a (postpartum) depression.

JEM stands for 'Jong en Moeder'(Young and Mother) and is especially for young mothers (and fathers) up to and including 23 years of age.

You can contact them with questions about, for example, finances, housing, school, work, benefits and upbringing.
JeM is also the ideal place to meet other (future) young mothers. They regularly have fun activities and it's free.

On February 16, they are organizing a special meeting for pregnant women up to and including 23 years old, in which you will receive all the information about childbirth and the time afterwards.
